We never expect to win the tournamet because judging by our experince, WE ARE TOTALLY NOOBS ! Hahahaha. but then i believe a lot of the experieced players told us tht we are so LUCKY. Even the division 2 team got defeted by our noob team. It was first time hold the gun also called the ‘marker’. It’s a wonderful feeling to become champions again [again, rite?? haha]. ANyhow, we made it to the finals and made ourselves the bestest noob paintball team in mmu from all the 47 teams participated in the tournament for rookies.

Azrolsodri my classmate eversince I entered the mechanical course in MMU, was diagnosed with a tendon cut in his right knee. Me, Aaron and kadafi tht night went to pay him a visit. We had quite long chat though. One thing we all learn tht nite, is to love our knee so much. The way Azrul tell us the whole story really makes us kind of u know, juz love ur knee la. It’s a part of ur leg that makes u portable!

He msged me tht night, enquiring bout Numerical Analysis, which is same subject we took together this sem.

AzrulSoder : aku ingat nak jumpa kau ngn kadafi la..
SaiFuDiN : dtg la skrang
AzrulSoder : nak berbincang sikit pasal numerical analysis
AzrulSoder : eh idak ler skrng
AzrulSoder : aku tgh dlm kesakitan nih
AzrulSoder : kalau aku nak gi umah kau aku holller…
SaiFuDiN : kesakitan cam mane tu ?? patut aku risau ker ?
AzrulSoder : hurm..
AzrulSoder : abu ker sesapa ker takder ckp paper ker…
AzrulSoder : aku knee surgery
AzrulSoder : so skrng tgh sakit
SaiFuDiN : ic..bile ko kene ?? tak ckp ape2 pon
AzrulSoder : kan aku nyer lutut mmg sakit
AzrulSoder : so sem lepas wat mri
AzrulSoder : ada meniscus tear
AzrulSoder : 1st operation dah buang meniscus yg rosak tuh
AzrulSoder : tp masa diorg operate dapati aku nyer lutut ada masalah lain
AzrulSoder : so kena wat ACL ligament reconstruction
AzrulSoder : so..
AzrulSoder : u get the idea of cannot go to class and dificulty in everything
SaiFuDiN : ya Allah complex nyer
AzrulSoder : yerp..thats the thing…

And after the msg, we went to house in Sg Putat. He did asked me and mainly the topic is about his knee and a lot more considering his studies. I advised him to take study leave judging by his current situaton which doesn’t allow him to walk tht much. Even more, all of the classes starts at 8 in the morning. It’s kind of hard and he told me he had to attend this fisiotherapy whtever to make his walking even better. wow…i never know tht there was a walking class. Hehehe. Anyways, hope u all who reading this entry would pray him get well soon. :-)

As the wind blew much faster, i am now sitting now in the car writing this journal using my PDA. We didnt turn in the aircond because the cold air at night is much more better compare to the daylight. The time now is 10.21 pm and we’re moving fast towards Melaka where the new trimester gonna be starting tomorrow. Today, I went to Lizard’s wedding with Danial. Both are old friends of mine back in the secondary school days. It was great to meet again all of them. We would sitting down together and share all the updates which happens to be so far so good. I wish our friendship all would bring us somewhere in the future. Most of us are already graduate and others are currently practical. Some are already working. Wow. Time moves so fast. Now I realized 3 of my friends were already married! At a young age of course. Hehehe. Anyways, It’s really good to see them again. Anyways, I wish both couple congratulations. Hope they live happily ever after. :-)

Finally the camera which I left in Ipoh arrive in a nice box posted by Poslaju. Hehehe. Thanks to Ua now I can upload the pictures and write this entry. The trip to Lumut was very exciting. I met this one guy while me and Zup went to Tengku Bainon Bridge [4’ 16” 51.1” N 100’ 39” 35.9” E]. He brought us fishing at one of the piers of the bridge.

It was great to have yourself seat in the middle of the bridge foundation and knowing the river current was very strong and very deep. The wind blew so strong that sometimes you could feel yourself gonna thrown off if you standing near the banks. We sat there for about 3 hours but unfortunately we didn’t manage to get any catch. But I didn’t learn a few things on fishing. Hehehe. After staying for a while in Lumut, i went to Ipoh after that. It was a great holiday for me this time!

Ice skating at Sunway Pyramid

I’ve experienced cycling, mountain climbing, jogging, swimming but I never been ice skating before. Few days back when my cousins brought me to ice skating really taught me how bad I am at ice skating. :P Bare in mind that THIS IS MY VERY FIRST TIME ICE-SKATING. At least I have the courage to try and make a fool out of myself in front of the others. Hahaha. :))

All the way, it was them who held my hands cos I was really really bad even in balancing. I never been in a roller blade before. I guess my cousins have no problem ice-skating probably because they have a basic in roller blading. I bet it wouldn’t have much difference in the technics used. Now that I know, I guess i need a practice on a roller blade or sumthing. Hehehe.

Find Me…Hehehe :P

Another close-up….found me yet ?? :>

I don’t know where to start but things are a bit rush right now. Starting back in Thursday last week, I make a last minute decision to pack my stuff and go back KL to follow my family balik kampung. I know I ain’t gonna miss this year’s raya haji. I took the bus straight from Melaka to KL. Then the day after we went back Ipoh at 10:30 am. It was very exciting.

Nona reached in the evening later on. We had a great night together. It was very fun! We watched Saw III. Hahaha. Then the next day, Dida and Pak Lang arrived. At night, we had a barbeque. Raya Haji falls on the next day. After the prayer, my dad and I went to Pak Ngah’s house in Kampung Bercham. Pak Ngah wasn’t in but I get to meet Pija and Ua. They serve laksa and nasi impit. I even take my chance online and pay the rest there online. Hehehe. In the evening, we went picnic at Lubuk Pulai. After tht, we straight head back to KL.

More photos here and here. ;-)

*fyi, Raya Haji was celebrated 2 times this year which 1st on 10 Jan 2006 and 2nd on 31st Dec 2006. I bet the last one should have fall on the year of 2007. You may refer both occasion pictures under my Gallery. :-)

Kampung Baru - A piece of Malay History

Posted On Monday, December 25th, 2006

Kampung Baru is the oldest Malay residential area in Kuala Lumpur. This market has a totally Malay feel to it, and this is obvious in the style of jewellery and clothes.

It was Saturday morning when I was woke up by Christoper and we all left Melaka for KL. We took our bus at Melaka Sentral at 9:45 am. It was raining in the morning. I reached KL at 12 pm and waited for my old friend, Sali to come. Then we have a dinner together and I had a night at his home in Kampung Baru. We had a great deal of time watching EPL together. I even had a long chat with his dad.

Their family has been an original residents of Kampung Baru. Do you all know who else has been the resident of Kampung Baru? Others were Tan Sri SM Salim and Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin. Kampung baru has been a trademark of the Malays. The price of the land also is very freaking expensive. I was informed that it cost up to rm 300 to rm 400 per square feet! Back in Putrajaya the cost is around rm 250 per square feet. Imagine juz few feets away from business centres, shopping complex offices and many other landmarks, no one would resist to own a land in the centre of KL. It is just the matter of whether u have the money to own it or not.

At night, I went outside of the house. The sight offers a maxis tower, KLCC and ambank tower on the back. I also can see Menara Celcom nearby. The last sight I had juz like this is when I strolling at Dataran Merdeka. That is the time where we all can stand at a very open area and u can see tall buildings all over around u. The mixed feelings was great esspecially when night time. I wish I had a wide angle slr so that I can take many wide angle pics and give u all a clearer picture how Kampung Baru looks like.

Kampung Baru is the oldest Malay residential area in Kuala Lumpur. About ten minutes away from Chow Kit Market, it was founded in 1899 and there are still authentic traditional Malay wooden houses there. On Saturday evenings, one section of Kampung Baru is a hive of activity. The reason: the Pasar Minggu, or Sunday Market, that starts from 6 pm on Saturday evenings and ends in the wee hours of Sunday morning, at 1 am.

During the daylight, the KLCC is juz a stone’s throw. :-)

At night, same spot

Menara Celcom, i can walk from here to there. ;-)

Teater Muzikal PI MAI PI MAI TANG TU

Went to watch this theatre last Saturday. it was great! Thanks to arsyad for inviting me there. hehehe. I’m wordless to give away any comments but seriously I enjoy watching the show! :-) What really touches me is the part where as a small kid back in my primary school days, I used to watch this comedy along with the late actor Sabtu Hussein and late Ahmad Busu who one of the main character that time. Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu is one of the best comedy in those days that it manage to come with many seasons from Kampung Seri Wangi to Flat Seri Wangi. While the name was kampung Seri Wangi, the back drop was an old Kampung houses where the late Sabtu Hussein plays as the owner of the stall. Then the when they changed the name, the back drop also changes.

It was a great comedy. My father used to tape it using the VCR tht time. Now after almost 12 years, I actually get to meet the actors myself. It was a great honor!

RINGKASAN/JALAN CERITA

After dropping Krishna and Ratna at the bus station, me and Vig went to MMUsic Music Fest. The show was great !! This time i believe MMUsic had gone international. Hahaha. There are participants from Indonesia and even Africa. Hahaha. The crowds keep making noise and the show was truly awesome! There are two categories; singing and band. The band was hard to judge actually since the Indonesian bands also give a great play.

Open House Raya 2006

It was rainy day when suddenly I encountered my lecturer, Mr Victor Chong which is now currently working in National Semiconducter [NS] in Batu Berendam. It was my friend’s boss who invited us to his open house. I hardly forget those faces I have met before. It’s just that I hardly recall their name and when is the last time we met. And this time, it’s a bit funny when an ex-student met his lecturer again at an Hari Raya Open house.

After taking some pictures, just before I left the house for another, I straight ask the guy

“Have we met before? You seems so familiar-lah.”

At the time, I was thinking he might be one of the promoter for Celcom or Maxis or Streamyx who used to call out people in the public. I got nothing to lose so I just ask him. Then he reply with a simple answer which make us laugh. =))

“I was your lecturer…”

Hahaha….funny! How wonder la you seems so familiar. After a while, I recall back that his name is Victor Chong, and used to teached me Measurement and Instrumentation [EME2066] a couple of semesters ago. Hahaha. Nice to meet u again! Luckily I passed the subject already without any supplementary. :))

After that went to another house near Muar. What a great view! It reminds me of my kampung. I never know there was a paddy field at the southern part of this peninsula. :P And then went straight to Bonda’s House in Bachang.

I had a great deal of time yesterday. It was nice to meet again these people. Btw, if u do don’t forget invite me to ur open house! Hehehe. ;)
