There goes the sound from my PDA through the headphones into my ears. I always listen to my mp3s every time after Suboh prayers. It avoids me from overslept. The time now is 8.00 am in the morning. The lights are started to get in to my room forming shades that disturbs my eyes. I hate it so much! The bags are already packed since last night and all I need to do now is sent my cat to its ‘hotel’ in Bangi.

At 11:30 am, we all one family borded the car and head for Tok’s house in Ipoh. This time we were lucky enough because the traffic wasn’t that bad. As a matter of fact, the traffic wasn’t bad at all! We did have a pleasure ride looking at the hills and tress along the highway. I can see along the highway where the UEM Builders are widening the road from 2 to 3 lanes.

23rd October 2006, 2:21 pm, Ipoh

When were arrived, the Nona’s and Dida’s are already in Ipoh for few days. They aren’t celebrating raya this year here. But they did spend few days back break fast together. I guess I missed the fun there. But we manage to get some few shots together. Hehehe. It was fun though to meet again.

It’s Raya time today!! I heard the takbir from the house once I had my sunat hari raya bath. You know, when u arrived at the mosque, having the Ketua Kampung to mention all sort of things that happen around the kampung is fine, but when politics started to take place it was pretty much disaster. The ketau kampung, Pak Hanif, in his speech,” Saye ingin mengucapkan ribuan terimak asih pada ….sekian2…. kerana mendermakan …..sekian2 ribu [5 figures].... kepada pihak masjid utk program2 bulan puasa” and many other things that related to politics. I realized all the faces of the outsiders [u can always diffferentiate the young ones are the outsiders who came back from the city to kampung] pretty much disappointed. The right thing to say is sumthing not related to money, truly when he mention the sum of money, it wasn’t sincere enough. I dont know wht to say. But talk about ‘masjid yg telah dipolitikkan’, it not right u know. Maybe u all can ask me if u all wanted to know more bout this.

As usual, I met Zarob again. Now i have the chance to beraya at his house in Jalan Sukun. Have chit chat with his mum and brother. Zarob’s mother was like, when we’re asking to leave, she started to ask so many questions tht it bring us up to 1 and half hour of talking. Hahaha. Then in the evening, we all went to Tanjung Rambutan to visit my late grandma’s brother. He still very strong u know. Breed a lot chicken.

25th October 2006, 4:24 pm, Kepala Batas

Now that we reached Penang, it almost raining, but havent rain yet. Also this time, the traffic was not bad. The best part when arrived at rumah Tok wan is the kids. These nieces and nephew along with me went to ‘bendang’. The scenary was freaking awesome! The wind blow strong. You can see the wide sky with the black cluods showing it signs to rain. Wow! Luckily we didn’t get struck by lightning.

When the heavy rain came, Pak Teh cancelled his trip to Kelantan. We then planned to have a BBQ! We went to tesco Sg Petani. Bought some beef, hot dogs, prawns and chicken. At night, we have to start the fire under the old Tokwan house, becos it still raining! Hahaha.

26th October 2006, 8:45 pm, Putrajaya

Finally we arrived our house after a long jam at the North-South Highway. Bak kate org “Jam sampai lebam!”. Added by the heavy rain, i’m telling u it was quite a journey. Perhaps a risky one actually.

That’s all i have to say about my Raya celebration this year. I might have alot to say to u all but i think is juz enough for wht u all need to know which i wrote above.
