Happy 48th independence day! Is like celebrating our country’s birthday la. It been already 48 years our country have independence from the bloody British. We all should first thank God for not having to having to live during the time of World War where our grandfathers and granny did in those days. Today, we been able to walk almost anywhere we want. We can run for fun and recreational. Today, we can have almost everything. Just tell me straight. Hand phones, mp3s, videos, even the latest movies are also here. Just anything latest that u can find in the internet soon will be here in our country. We hardly missed anything that revolves around this world. And that’s freedom.

When we talk about freedom, Independence will always be there. Every year we celebrate the Independence Day. Government pours millions in budget just to make sure all of us get “Jalur Gemilang??? and flags it at our home. You see, this is very, very important so that it can bring the nationalism in our people. This way will make our people respect among each other, values the importance in the phrase of “living together in harmony???. After all, we should be because we’re a multi racial country.

But what am I trying to point out is that,???What happens if the Government itself didn’t have the nationalism for its own country???? History speaks for itself. A quote says:

“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

These days, did people fear of the government or the government fear of the people? If this government is from the people, by the people, for the people. Then why we still have things as such toll increment, electric Tariff increment [soon water will too] and many other increament that matters our money? This so-called very very very essentials, important things for us is on the hands of the who at the same time can gain control of our financial power in our daily life. Where did the fear go? To the government or to the people? You answer yourself as a true Malaysian. Is there any liberty that u can see?

“In the old days you need to conquer a country with military force and then u can control their country. Today it’s not necessary at all, you can destabilize a country, make it poor and then make it request for help. And for the help that is given, you gain control of the policies of the country. And when you gain control the policies of a country, effectively you have colonized that country.“

Ok ok ok, I’ll explain to you. As if u read the quote above very tentively, it was these days that the economy become main priority in making the country more powerful among in the region. In our country, we practice less capitalism. Yes, you heard me, less capitalism. If not, carmakers like proton had already bankrupt maaa. They government didn’t created a free market flow like western countries. In order to make these so-called product-of-national companies keep surviving even in the local market itself, duty imports are charge for the outsiders. Did you all who read my blog here realized that we’re are having a type of economy which is cetegorized as a “command economy????! By all means, we being control by the government [again] in the economy. Hahaha. I almost out of the topic lah. Kk I write this in my other story lah. No need to worry. I’m not gonna bang our beloved government again.

It is very important to make our economy very stable. If the same Asian Financial Crisis happen again just like in 1997, all of the work of more than 40 years is just left out to dust. As wht the former prime minister said, we dun want our country to colonize by the outsiders by holding the main route to the power of the country and that is the economy of the country. Either people fears the government or the government fears the people, when it comes to the freedom and independence topic, for sure both would have fear the COLONIST! Am I right? And that is very very important. Personally, I rather let myself controlled by the government of Malaysia rather than someone who is not from my soil [my motherland too!!]. How bout you??

And this is what the independence all about. So, let me ask you again, what independence means to you??? Just give yourself a thought about it sometimes.
